A Month With Marrok!

Hello everyone! it's been awhile since I've typed to you all, how is everyone? For those of you who started school how is that going? For those of you who didn't, how is life going?

My apologizes about this post being late. It was supposed to go up last Thor's-day Thursday but I forgot to post it because I'm an empty head baka.
Sometimes I wonder what happened to my brain.

But I'm doing it now. So lets get this wrap up going.

                                 Life
I am now a full time student at the Master's University (Cdub rocks! that's for Ashley's friend who started the Master's this year as well. Don't know who she is but Cdub rocks nevertheless) and a working dude. If your wondering I'm adjusting well and have gotten into the groove of things. I've literally meet over a hundred people and I'm having a hard time remembering all their names. I'm told that almost everyone on campus knows who I am (if that is true it means I've either meet or at lest bumped shoulders with over a thousand people), yeah... so much for me being an introvert. Oh and if you thinking this very moment

"What the heck is the Master's University? and why do you always seem to talk about it?"

I'm glad you asked. The Master's University is a Christian University located in California. To sum up they stand for Christ.

"The mission of The Master’s University is to empower students for a life of enduring commitment to Christ, biblical fidelity, moral integrity, intellectual growth and lasting contribution to the Kingdom of God worldwide."

What don't believe me or this statement? Well then come down and check it out for yourself. Each year The Master's holds two view weekends in which you can come down and see for yourself how the college runs. The next one is next month so come on down! For more info click HERE. Oh and if you do come down let me know, that would be pretty cool, and I could introduce you to a hundred random people!

Hopefully I'll return to my normal posting and reading of other people's blogs. I feel kinda bad that I haven't kept up with everyone's post. Especially the new people I found. I don't want you guys to think I'm just ignoring you all. I've just been busy these last four weeks, no wait it's been five. Everyone's post sound so cool and I wish I could read them all. I'll have to figure something out.

Had my first date...😏with homework (Ha! see what I did there... What? I'm I the only one who finds that joke funny?)

                               Writing

Okay so what is going on with Iron Gauntlets? Well right now it is at 30k of the planned 80k. I haven't had much time to work on it. One reason is because I officially launched my serial story Quantum Gears! (If you haven't checked it out yet click HERE).

I'm honestly amazed at how well the first chapter has done and how well it's been received. I was a little concerned about backlash because of some of the elements within the first Chapter. But everyone seems to think that just made the story cooler, so its a win win right? I mean it's been so warmly received that Quantum Gears has it's first official fan art, Check this bad boy out!

Starsical.Art is such an amazing artist and I'm totally blown away that she drew my OC, and I'm still totally gitty every time I see this. I mean just look at how cool she drew Ty! He looks so sassy. (It may or may not be my screen saver on my phone)

Honestly you guys are amazing and your comments about Quantum Gears are so encouraging and are helping push me in my writing of Chapter 2.

Other things I did that I didn't talk about yet

I've been busy working on some art of Quantum Gears so I haven't got much done in the art department... Oh wait I did get this done

If your wondering who the heck this dude is he is Chris Powell. Otherwise known as Darkhawk! (Man making that background was a long processes, kinda wish I could have just spoke it into existence ;) I personally love Darkhawk, he was such a cool character but sadly is very unknown. But one thing I really hated is that fact that he didn't look like a teenager, he is supposed to be the same age as Peter Parker but you couldn't tell that from the old comics. That is one reason I redrew him.

What It's like to Hang with Marrok!

Siting with some friends on the second level of the cafeteria at Master's.
Person: So what are you thinking?
Me: Well... *looks over the railing* I'm thinking of taking that two step shortcut to the first floor (I was copying Iron Man 3, but man their faces where funny)

At the park with my family, as I open a package of granola bars some fall on the muddy floor. So I threw them away.
Sister: Did you just throw away a whole granola bar?
Me: Nope! I threw away two half's.
Sister: -_-

                                   Updates

For those of you wondering how far along I am in writing Chapter 2 of Quantum Gears I'm about 300 words into the planned 7k. It shouldn't take me to long to finish up the draft and send it off to it's beta-readers, and if you are one of those beta-readers reading this I just want to say... "Thank you for your help in this! I'm so excited to see what you have to say and your suggestions!" By my projections it should be up by either late October or early November.

I was also thinking of releasing it on Wattpad. Like it releases first on my blog then the week after on Wattpad. What do you guys think? Should it be done?

My blog's one year anniversary is coming up soon. What do you guys think I should do for it? I was thinking a give-a-way and a vlog face-reveal/Q&A. Since I was going to do a face reveal once I published a story (which Quantum Gears counts as a published story.) I thought that would be cool to do. But what do you guys think? Is there something else I should do for the One Year anniversary? Can you help a bother out?

As for blog post I'm working on two I think will be pretty cool. I'll give you a sneak peak of the titles
Lets Talk: Christ and artistic license
To Serve a King

But since these post may touch a nerve with some people I'm talking longer to write them.

I also wanted to do a collaboration and guest post before this year ends so we will see how that goes. Maybe I'll find one of my comic geek blogger friends to do the collab with... Okay now I'm just rambling on in meddling nonsense so I guess I'll end it here.

To all my blogger buddies I'll be getting to your post soon, be ready for a spam of comments. I hope you are all doing well and I'll be back soon. Until Next Time, Stay True to The King!

  3. That's awesome fanart- and awesome to have received fanart!
Speaking of art, I'm afraid I haven't heard of Chris Powell/Darkhawk before now, but you make him look like a cool character.

    1. Thanks Blue! Yeah it was so awesome to receive my first fanart! like mind literally blown.

Yeah he is a dude from Marvel no one's every heard about. Which is kinda sad because he is a cool character. Thanks for that, it was a ton of fun redrawing him

  4. Ah so nice to have you back! Haha and I'm sure Master's is pretty awesome (especially since I now know TWO people who go there - you and my other friend). And the first date thing... for a minute there I actually believed you and then I saw the next sentence... good one lol.
Yay! First year blogversary! I'm so excited for you rockie!
AND YES YOU SHOULD DO A FACE REVEAL dude I've been waiting for ages for this. Something that a lot of people do is guest posts for their blogversary, but if you're already planning a collab that might not be the best idea.
    Also, typos dude *rolls eyes*
Thanks for the update tho, like I said before, it's nice to have you back!

    1. Hey Ash! Thanks it's great to be back! It is pretty awesome here. I'm so blessed and truly undeserving of being here.

Yes! I got you with my first date thing!

Thanks, it's hard to believe it's been almost a year already. How time flies once you launch a clock into outer space. Okay, so far it sounds like everyone is rooting for the face reveal.

Hey there was only 3 typos, I wrote, reread and published this before class. I think it should be more of a "Hey there where ONLY three typos today"

  6. It's great to see you back in the blogosphere!

I think you should do a face reveal, so I'm with Karyssa. :)

Also, you should do those posts, who cares if it will touch nerves? If you think it matters and needs to be said/written about, don't worry about what other people will think. ^_^

Those drawings are AMAZING, I especially like the one of Ty.
