    2. Marrok! That was one of the most entertaining 17 minutes and 37 seconds I've spent all week! I think it was a great video!
That's cool that you're also a rain lover. Glad there are more folks in the "rain lover club"!
I totally agree with you on the train trip. Trains would be so much better to travel on than flying, or driving.
Bahahaha! Yes! Another person who hasn't seen LoTR. Ain't the Veggietales version better anyway? ;)
Oh, I have to disagree with you on one point. You are a very cool person. Don't let your "nemisis" tell you otherwise!

  3. Congrats on your one year of blogging!! :D

Great face reveal! I really enjoyed watching this and hearing your answers. :) *high five* I'm a sunrise person too! I also love to take pictures of them (you've probably seen a few on IG). :)

Don't know if you were specifically talking about botching my name (or just names in general) but you said mine correctly! :D

    1. Thanks Karyssa! Yeah sun rises are just so much fun (yeah I've seen a few of yours and they are AWESOME!) I'm glad you enjoyed that weird vlog.

Yes I got it right, yeah i botch names in general

    2. They are! (ahh, thank you so much!) I did. But hey, it was your first time doing a vlog. And I'm sure it's kinda weird your first time talking to a camera (and no one's answering you). :P

Haha, I botch names too! So you're not alone there. ;P

      Delete
    3. Yeah plus I did it in one take. So that added to the weirdness.

Well that's good! it felt like I botched my own name in the intro :D

  4. "Maybe Hiccup"?? Um, definitely Hiccup, because that also equals dragons. ;)
And I have enjoyed being internet friends with you these past few years - here's to more. :)
Also, don't be too hard on yourself about the whole typos deal - everybody has an area they struggle with. Mine is math (I won't even mention all the tears I still shed over math problems. XD)!
Just wanted to let you know you did say "Raechel" correctly. I know my blog name is a bit long/confusing, but it is God's Peculiar Treasure Rae - as in the first part of the name Raechel. Pronounced like "Ray". :) But don't worry, just about everybody says my name wrong some way or another. That's the part of having a different name. ^.^
Good job on your first vlog, and I enjoyed it!

    1. Oh and my P.S.: What's with the empty bookshelf behind you? Who has an empty bookshelf?? ;) Haha, just teasing.

      Delete
    2. Oh yeah I totally forgot about the dragons!!! Now I want to go say just hiccup.

I've enjoyed it as well, oh man I knew I was saying something wrong, well I can't change it now, that is why people rehears and don't just sit down and vlog (like i did). But I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh that's my roomates shelf. Mine is filled up with stuff

      Delete
    3. Haha, dragons are always a good thing. But your choices were good!

No biggie! And rehearsing is over-rated anyway. ;)

Ah, okay. Well that's good. Bookshelves should always be filled if they can be. :D

      Delete
    4. They are. Totally wished they where real and around still.

Yeah who needs rehearsing? I mean it's not like it's ever helped anyone right? :P

  5. Cool vlog. Of course a dragon would win. I mean, wasn't that obvious. XD
And I would probably hang out with Hiccup or Astrid. Or Toothless. :D

Lol, the typos add to your style. That's just you're blogging style.

I've never seen Lord of the Rings, either. Or read the books. I get mobbed a lot because of that. *watches out for Gray* (Not the anonymous one. XD)

    Awesome post. :D

I would rather visit Hiccup and the gang then bring them here.
Hahaha typos are my bloggin style, i love it! I should put it into my bio!
Oh no... maybe i should be watching out for Gray too (anonymous Grey is spelled with a E)

I figured you'd find this comment, Gray. I try to troll about the mobs when I can. ;)

  6. Hello, I just want to say that I thought this was a very enjoyable vlog to watch :)
As a Mom of teen and twenties children, it is nice to see a young man who isn't so caught up in the world and doing the typical young person 'thing' (being obsessed with self and showing off). You don't need to be so hard on yourself, though, as you seem to be a very sweet, funny, and godly young man. Remember you are God's creation and He loves you - what others think doesn't matter! But I thought this was great and very funny, too! Good job and keep your focus on Him :)

    1. Thank you Mrs. Mom! That is very kind of you to say, Well when it comes to making dumb mistakes like typos I need to be hard on myself it's just me being lazy that they get out.

      Thank you for the encouragement!

  7. The face reveal part was so funny! I don't know why but I kind of thought you were going to be blonde or a brunette because of your profile picture! :P

Great vlog, good job. *thumbs up*

    1. Thanks Gray! Well I am a Burnette I just have really dark brown hair. But yeah that profile pic is kinda throws people off because of the light brown hair.

      Thanks again Gray!

  8. Great vlog! And yes, the questions were from me. :)

I understand needing to be hard on oneself in order to get things done, but please don't be unreasonably hard on yourself. I don't know why you consider yourself your own worst enemy, but please be careful; that can be a very dangerous way of thinking. Plus, I don't think anyone particularly minds the typos. :)

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN LORD OF THE RINGS?!?!?! Jk, but still. They're really good. ;)

Well that is more of the comedic me, see in comedy you usually make fun of something so I fun of myself. It's all good, I am hard of myself for improvement but I'm not doing it in the dangerous way. Thank you for your concern though!

YES I KNOW! I guess I just live under rocks :P I hear they are good I just haven't had the time to sit down and watch all of them.

  9. Aw, happy one year Rockie! :) The blogging world wouldn't be the same without you and all your typos :P I loved the vlog! You did a great job. I was thinking your were a blonde tho I don't really know why. I guess you're deifying all expectations lol. It's nice to have a face with the name now! So excited for what the next year will bring! xD
Also, sidenote, I haven't seen Lord of the Rings either... but I have read the books so that probably counts for something.

    1. Thanks Ash! Yes what would they do if they came across a post without typos :P

Man more then one person have said they thought I was blonde, I know my artistic rendition of myself had light brown but I know I said I have dark hair.

It does count. I'm like totally in the dark about all things Lord of the Rings.

Thank you I'm excited to see what it brings as well!

    2. I really don't know what we'd without you Marrok!

Haha I don't know what it is that made me think that tho...

Also, I forgot to mention this in the first comment but I think it's really cool that you're getting your degree in political science! You're in your second year at Master's, right?

and I'm really sorry, I've been trying to reply to this comment for like 4 days now and something kept coming up. I'm not neglecting you bro :P

  10. Nice vlog Marrok!
Ahh! I love your asking the experts! Checking the Tea leaves, (or in your case looks like coffee spot) ;)
Hey! a fellow "I've never watch Lord of the Rings"! Don;'t see many of those.
Yeah, quite a few friends are shocked at what movies I haven't watched. I'm into old b/w movies.... What can I say, their good!

I was able to watch the whole vlog, good job! Don't worry, it wasn't boring, it was quite fun! It was like getting hearing one of your blog posts read out loud!

    1. Thanks Tiffany! It actually was a tea spot, I don't drink coffee :P
Yes I'm part of the few and the proud clan of "haven't seen the Lord of the Rings". That is cool! Some of the old Black and White movies are fun!

Well I'm glad it wasn't too boring considering it was so long :D

      Delete
    2. Oh! Well I guess I'm used to most the folks I know drinking coffee, though a few friends don't and drink tea instead. I prefer cocoa myself. ;)
You've watch black and white movies? Have you seen James Stewart?
      How about Abbot and Costello?

      Delete
    3. Well that makes sense since most people do drink coffee, especially bloggers :\ go figure.

Ohhh Cocoa... I haven't had myself a nice Cocoa in a while.

Well I've seen him in "It's a wonderful life" but I can't remember the other movies I've seen him in. No I haven't seen anything with Abbot and Costello, at lest to my knowledge. But then again I'm not super good with names.

  11. Nice job! The face reveal was awesome, and you weren't disappointing, even though you seem to believe that for some odd reason. Seriously, though, you make me laugh. I'm glad you answered some of my questions, but I'm a little confused. How can you call yourself a reader if you've never read/watched Lord of the Rings?? (Just kidding. Mostly.) And you shouldn't worry so much about typos. Your writing makes most people's look pathetically error-ridden by contrast, and even if you feel like you shouldn't be messing up in that area, it gives you a personality beyond the screen filled with words. Anyway, this late comment is to say I loved your vlog, please do another, you were great, and persevere! Anything great takes practice. God bless!
(Oh yes, and I get the part about being your own worst enemy. It's a lot harder to trip on someone else's feet, for one thing.)

    1. Oh no I was just trying to be funny, kinda... I'm glad it made you laugh as that was the whole point of it.
Yes it's a wonder that I can, I mean it's like the only book out there right :P
Thank you Brianna! I don't stress about them too much but it is something I would like to correct.
Well if you would like to see another I guess I could do another sometime. I don't know what it would be about but hey that is what planning is for :D
(Yes I totally understand that :))

      Delete
    2. I thought so. If that was your point, then you succeeded amazingly. :D
Yes. Absolutely. And you really should read it at some point . . . :)
They're kind of a curse of doing a lot of writing. At least spell check exists; that's saved my life so many times!
Yes, please do!! You could do another Q and A, or you could vlog about your writing/drawing process, or you could share some of your favorite books and tell us why you like them. *realizes that was a lot of ideas*
(That's pretty much my life. I've walked out of the house with untied shoes and forgotten to tie them for 45 minutes. So, yeah.)

      Delete
    3. That was, I can't even number how many times I've tripped over my own two feet!
I can't promise I will read it but I'll try some time.
Yes spell check, the one thing that never catches my typos :D
Okay cool! thank you for the ideas! I guess I'll have to see about doing those kinds of things in from now on.
Hey life gets busy sometimes. I've forgotten notes for a class I was heading to and didn't even notice until class started :P

    4. I can't either. It's getting to be a problem; I nearly walked into a classmate today.
Do or do not, there is no try. See, you should listen to Yoda and read it. :)
My spell check always tells me that your character's name is misspelled, and it isn't. So annoying!
Now you can't plead lack of ideas! :D
True, true, but it also isn't that bad. I really don't have an excuse, unless you count staying up late because a book was just so good. However, I should have SOME memory and function left. I'm not that old!

  12. Oohhh fantastic vlog, I feel super inspired to try my own now at some point. (in the... near [ish?] future... XD) I also assumed you were blond though? Idk why? But yeah as far as typos go: LISTEN TO ELSA AND LET IT GOOOO is my philosophy. :P One time I made a typo in the /title/ of my blog post (OOPS) and I didn't realize it until maybe three days later.

Thank for the encouragement, I've done that too 0.o its funny to see it and know others have.
