My Last Post?

Welcome to my last post...

What? Your last post? Why? What happened???

Well, it's My Last Post... of the year. Hehe...

Oh, I see what you did there. Funny.

Okay so today was supposed to be a comic or book review, but since this is my last post of the year I thought I would do something else.

First off I wanted to tell you all thank you.

Thank you to everyone who finds the time to stop by every week and read my post. To think you find the time in your busy days to stop by my little spot on the net every week and read what I post is amazing!

Thank you to those of you who followed this blog, You guys are crazy awesome (in a good way)!! To be honest I didn't expect this many people to follow my blog. I expected maybe one or two people for the first few months-a year, but in the span of just two months, there are 13 of you awesome people following this blog. You guys are just crazy awesome!

Thank you to everyone who comments, I love reading your comment and commenting back!

Thank you to everyone- you guys are the best!

Wait before you go I had some questions I hoped you could answer.

Sure. This End of the Year Post so can answer some questions. What's on your mind?

Well, my first question is that you said you were going to make some post about art, that you would show us some tips and stuff like that. Can we expect those kinds of post in the coming Year?

Oh yes. I want to get some post up about art and drawing. Right now I'm not really set up for sharing art but hopefully, within the New Year, I will be. Then I could show you some of the things I draw and maybe even some tips.

Okay, next question. You've changed the look of your blog serval times during the time it's been up. Can we expect more changes to the look during the New Year

Yes Totally. I'm looking at different templates and stuff like that. I have an idea of the way I want it to look and the blogger templates aren't what I'm looking for so I hope to do some changing of the HTML stuff over the summer. I also want to add that sidebar profile thingy ( a real technical term I know) so I'll be messing with that.

Next, why don't you have a picture of yourself?

Oh, good question. The reason is 1) I'm an artist, so drawing a profile picture is a lot of fun. 2) I need a better picture of myself and 3) My face reveal will come closer to the release of my book.

Oh, that's cool. So you're writing a book. What's it called? What's it about? Can we expect anything about it in the form of posts?

Ooo good questions. A fellow new blogger Audrey Caylin was brave enough to share some of her WIP in a post HERE, make sure to check it out. I'm not that brave. But what I will do is show you the title and synopsis of the book (remember title and synopsis are subject to change). Both are as followed (Also I'm giving you TOP SECRET information! Important places, events, and people have to be blanked out for your safety)

      Iron Gauntlet

It was a normal night in Alsldkfhf Mogazen. Kzya, her brother Arzifer and some friends were enjoying their last night of summer vacation when peace turns to chaos as a mzzeals is seen heading towards their small town. But before it leaves the atmosphere it explodes and the town is saved. The town is told it was an "unfortunate training exercise" but Kzya's brother doesn't buy it and with his friend Miguel they go check out the missiles impact sight. Things only get stranger when they see a zag unconscious in the center of the impact zone. When the zag wakes up abs has no memory of his life prior to waking up, but that isn't the only odd thing about this young man. His only form of identification is a scorpion tattoo and a name on his uniform. "Szeen". As zeeng tries to make sense of what happened It notices it seems to possess superhuman abilities and a strange robotic voice in zis head. That and the fact ze is being hunted by two government agents. Will seeng be able to uncover zie past? or will he be haled away by the government?

And that's what I got so far. Yes, I know the black is annoying and prevents you from finding out more about the story. But as it get's closer to its release date, more will be revealed.

What's the word count?

Well, right now it's at 14k. I was thinking the goal would be 80-90k. But we will see as time gets closer.

Okay. Is there any more information you can give us?

Oh sure! So it's about sadfhuioasbfaand saffsdffdfs then wfjshdfuijhdadf wassadf;lkjnsdo;ifjsdf

Oh that's just wrong dude

Yeah I know 😁 Consider it more on a sneak peak then anything else.

Oh and before I wrap this up I wanted to say that if there is anything you would like to see-

Oh! I have something I want to see!

I already said I'm not doing any backflips into any volcano

Never mind...

So as I was saying if there is anything you would like to see come to this blog just leave a comment with your suggestion and I'll take it into consideration. Oh yes and if there is any other questions feel more than free to shoot me an email or comment down below.

That's all I got for you today. I hope you all have a wonderful New Years!  By the way, do you have any plans (that revolve around writing) for this coming year? Let me know down in the comments below. Until Next Time, Stay True to the King! (you guys are awesome!)

12 Days of Christmas: Music

Hello everyone! and welcome back for another "12 Day's of Christmas" post. Hosted by Firefly! Make sure to check out her blog if you want more wonderful Christmas themed post!

Now today I'm doing something a little different, something "new". Something never done on this blog before!

And what's that? doing a quadruple backflip into an active volcano with a bags of marshmallows in your hands and a Go-Pro on your head while you live-stream?

No.............. As interesting as that sounds I'm not going to do that. Today I'm bringing you a post about Christmas themed Celtic music!!! Yeah Celtic stuff ROCKS!! if you couldn't tell by my name I'm big on Celtic stuff!

The volcano thing would have been cooler...

Aaaaaanyways I first wanted to link a ton of Celtic-themed Christmas music from YouTube on here so you could just click and listen. But after some thought, I came to the conclusion that wasn't the beast approach to it. Plus I was introduced to this App called "spuffy" a few day ago and it made the whole thing a lot easier with its customizable, shareable, playlist.

Do you mean "Spotify"?

Yes! "Spotify" that's it! Okay so I was introduced to this app a few days ago and though it would be cool to put together a Celtic-themed Christmas playlist that you could listen to right here while to do whatever it is you do! Don't worry there is no lyrics it's all instrumental. And even if you don't celebrate Christmas they are still great wintery themed songs. So if you're a fan of Celtic music (if your not a fan sounds off!) grab a cup of Yaknog and enjoy!

Wait you've said "Yaknog" before, what is that? it doesn't sound good.

Oh well Yaknog is something from Gift of the Night Fury (A How To Train Your Dragon Christmas special) and looks like this

Gross that looks disgusting! and hazardous to ANYONE'S HEALTH!

Aaaahahaha yeah, it does. Okay so forget the Yaknog,  just sit back and relax and enjoy the Celtic wintery sounds. Oh just so you know the playlist is about an hour and 59 minutes long so you have plenty of Celtic-themed songs. Oh, and you may hear like a 30-second advertisement every now and then.
P.S there are some identically titled songs on the list, but they are performed differently so I hope you enjoy them.

and P.P.S what's your favorite kind of Christmas OR wintery themed songs?
And Until Next Time, Stay True to The King!
P.P.P.S there may or may not be a post on 22ed, I haven't decided anything yet. But there will be a post on the 29th.
P.P.P.P.S these "P.S's" idea was taken from Cars 2

365 Days of Gifts?

Hello everyone! I pray your all doing well as we prepare to celebrate the day our Savior came into the word. In other words Christmas!

It's only two weeks away from Christmas! woohoo!

I know right?! where does the time go?

I don't do that Christmas thing...

Well, then I hope you are having a wonderful winter with your family! So I wanted to post this back in November-

Then why didn't you?

I got a little busy.

Oh really? busy huh? I bet you were just being lazy.

A little of both I guess.

Ha! I knew it!

Anyways I wanted to bring up something that is very appropriate for this time of the year. And that is gifts.

Gifts?

Yes, but not the ones under the tree. No, I feel that these gifts are often ignored even if we don't mean to ignore them. Wait! before you fire off an angry comment let me explain myself.

Well, start with the explaining bub!

Okay. The gifts I feel that are often ignored is the gift of the day. Yes, the day. After all Psalm 118:24 says "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it".

But do we really 'rejoice and be glad' for each day? have we every stopped to acknowledge everything God gives us each day? I find that I usually just send a quick "Thank you for the day Lord" in my prayers everyday without really considering the gift that He has given me.

Like, for instance, have we ever thought that the Lord in His great kindness never gives us two of the exact same days? (Now I'm going to get a little artistic on you, but hey I'm an artist.) Everyday is an entirely new day from the Lord. The day (Today) is the only one there will ever be in history. The sun never rises at the same time as it did yesterday. The temperature is never the exact same as yesterday. In fact, every cloud we see everyday is new, since clouds are constantly changing. Every flower, every bird's song, every breeze is different from yesterday. And there is still a ton of other things that are new everyday. But do we really thank the Lord of all of it?

I know personally I don't usually think about it. I wake up and start my usual routine, after all, we all have schedules to keep right? I know that my parents and pastor have told me countless times that we should be thankful for the day which the Lord has given us. But it wasn't until recently that I truly understood what that means. I was watching the sun rise and it hit me (like a ton of bricks), The Lord truly gives us new days everyday and we should give Him praise for it. At least that is what the Psalmist said in Psalm 150:6 and in Psalm 69:34. Our lives are but a vapor, a breath, (Psalm 144:4, Proverbs 27:1, James 4:14, Plasm 39:4) yet the Lord finds it pleasing to gives us the gift of a new day even though our lives are so short. Never the same old day but a new day. But what do we do with these gifts? to we thank the Lord for the treasure He gives to us everyday? or do we take it and chuck it across the room as we wait for something else?

Wait are you saying that I can't look forward to something?

Oh on. I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying that we should look at everyday as a special gift from the Lord and thank Him for it. I know I'm guilty of not thanking the Lord for His gifts. I take them for granted as I move through life focused on what needs to get done that day. I complain about the weather and wish for another day that isn't even promised to me. Some day's I didn't even step outside.

I know we all are busy and that sometimes we drive ourselves crazy (Novembers NaNo😁). No wonder that Psalm 46:10 says to be still and now that God is the Lord. Because when we take the time to just be still and just look at God's creation. We can truly see what the Lord as done and that should drive us to praise Him for His great and mighty works. For He is worthy of our praise and worship.

It's easy to get lost in all the hustle and bustle of life and forget to be thankful for simple things like the days the Lord brings us. So as we enter this Christmas gift giving time lets not forget two things. And if there is anything you take away as you walk/click away is this.

1) To thank the Lord for His gift of a new day every day

and

2) To thank the Lord for sending us His Son as the propitiation for us

How is everyone’s December going? If you live where it snows has it? Oh make sure to stop by next week. I’m taking part in the 12 Days of Christmas hosted by Firefly

First Comic Review!

Hello everyone and welcome to my first comic review! On the First of December! Today we will be taking a look Superman Earth One Vol. 1. Before we get into the review I want to let you know that this is a reboot of the Original Story.
Wait so there is nothing that comes before this Graphic Novel?
Right, I’ll let you know which comic series need backstory (if needed). So just sit back, relax and enjoy the review
Okay hit me with it
BAM!
Not Literally!!
Ops sorry… Okay let’s get into it!

Overall I give Superman Earth One Vol 1.

Superman Earth One is not the original superman you grew up with. In fact he is the Superman of Earth One
what does that mean?!
Basically that this isn’t the main stream Kal-El but rather one from an alternate dimension. So instead of the story we all know it’s a little different.
Okay so what’s the difference?
Well first off this Clark Kent never wanted to be Superman, that was something that Ma and Pa Kent wanted for young Clark. Superman Earth One gives us a more detached Clark, he knows he isn’t human and he knows that he doesn’t fit in with the humans. So he doesn’t even try. As you read this comic you’ll find out it shares a lot of elements with another resent Superman movie  remake
                    (winkwink)
But overall it’s a decant story that goes something like this:

As Clark Kent struggles to find his place in the world an alien arrives at earth. Threating to destroy earth if Clark does not stop hiding among the humans and surrenders himself. But Clark doesn’t want to fight, he doesn’t even want to be even seen. All he wants is to find a quiet place and take care of his earth mom. But when the Alien starts his invasion of earth, will Clark stand by and do nothing while this mad man kills the innocent or will he take a stand for Truth, Justice, and the American way? Will he even stand at all?

Honestly Superman Earth One is a fine read and a mostly clean Graphic Novel. It’s a great read for anyone looking to get into comics, or if you’re looking for something with a different flavor.
Okay. But you said mostly clean, tell me what that is supposed to mean?
It means that although its a mostly clean read there is somethings to keep in mind before reading it, Lets get into those things.

Swearing: freaking is used once. Hell is used twice. And A** is used once. There are other rude comments like someone might say “son of a” or “kiss my” but they never finish the thought/sentence.

Violence: As for violence there is not that much, sure there is fighting towards the end but not overly grossest. Superman is given a small cut on his neck, a man is seen holding his dead son, the main villain gets his noise broken by Superman and we see him bleeding from it. Later we see the same villain get stabbed by his own ship, which is falling apart. But his blood is green so it doesn’t look that bad and is only in like two panels.

And that covers all the negatives. I have to say that Superman Earth One is a cool read and could possibly be my favorite alternate universe superman (granted I haven’t read Justice League 3000 yet and some of the other AU supermen).
Wait there are comics about alternate universe?
Well yeah. It's a way of trying something different without messing up whatever is currently running.
Oh okay. I get it.
Cool now back to my thoughts. One of the reasons I do like it is that the author doesn't make Superman out to be like the Messiah  (as some superman authors do) But instead we see the struggle Clark has with being an incredibly powerful alien on a planet of weak humans. The artist does a great job at making Clark look distant (emotionally) from the other humans (i.e he never looks people in the eye as Clark), while the author makes you feel his distance from the people of earth. Another reason that I like it is because all the similarity’s it has with the Man of Steel movie (Yes I alluded to this earlier) which is one of my favorite superhero movies.
But don’t let my opinion be the only opinion, if you read it and didn’t like it let me know what you personally didn't like about it.  if you liked it let me know what you personally liked about it.
And if you've never read a comic and want to, let me know if this comic seems like something you would like.
And until next time. Stay true to the King!
