Liebster Award/ I'm back!

Hello everyone! I'm back, isn't that odd considering I ran away from this blog for about two or three months during school. How's everyone doing? Where you able to enjoy your holiday season? Please tell me it's nice and cold where you live.

So, like three months ago (mans that's a long time!) S.M. Metzler over at Tea with Tumnus tagged me. If you haven't checked out her blog yet, you should. She's an awesome geek who loves to write. What more reason do you need then that? Oh check her blog out!

Normally these tags have rules like... Answer all 11 random questions, list 11 random facts, tag 11 random people and give them 11 random questions to answer. It's like the laws of the universe, it is not meant to be broken. But then again whoever made this tag never personally meat me :)

                             Okay let the fun begin!
1) What is your favorite film score/movie soundtrack?
Ooooo that's a good one. I really like the soundtrack to Man of Steel, Batman Vs. Superman, Warcraft, and How To Train Your Dragon. If I was to choose just a score it may be the one used in the new Spider-Man animated movie trailer. But then again I don't know if it will be part of the final soundtrack.

2) What is your favorite band?
AAAAAAaaaaaa!!! This question again! Seriously! This question is one of the bane's of my existence! I like so many different kinds of music from different kinds of artist. It's not a fair question I can't just choose one! Moving on because I can't answer this question!

3) If you could play any fictional character in a movie adaptation of your favorite book, whom would you be?
If I could, then I would be Johnny or Jett from the Curse of the Spider King: The Berinfell Prophecies Series. (Fun fact! this was actually the first book I ever read for pleasure, I'm going to talk about it soon so I won't say more than this)

4) Explain what your WIP is about in at least three sentences.
Okay here I go. Secret government agencies operating secretly, and Human test subjects.  There ya go. Some more info but still not enough for you to know what's really going on in Iron Gauntlet.

5) What is your three top favorite superheroes?
Aaaaaaa! Again a question that is one of the bane's of my existence! But at lest this one is do-able. Okay so my top three would provably be... Superman, Spider-Man, and the Hulk. Man these guys have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Needless to say they are superheroes that are very close to me and I don't think I'll ever not like them. Give me a movie with them and I'll like it (Yes that even includes Justice League, which I'll be reviewing soon). And they all have something in-common, super-strength but when they look normal they are part of the "weakest" humans (a.k.a they are nerds).

6) What would you name a boat if you had one?
Yes I've had a perfect name ready to name someone or something for the longest time! If I was to name a boat it would be... The U.S.S Thagomizer!!!! The best name ever! Now I challenge all of you to name your first born child "Thagomizer".

7)Which fictional character would you think would be the most boring to meet in real life?
I think the most boring character to meet in real life would be this guy right here

Yup. I mean just look at that face. It has "I'm a boring stick in the mud" written all over it! It also has "help me I'm not a damsel but I'm distress!" plastered on that hoobit face!

8) If you decided to change your name, what would that name be, and why?
I would change my name to either Samson, Siegfried, Sigurd or Marrok. And the reason why is because I like the way they sound and their meanings.

Samson means-Sun child or Bright sun.
Siegfried means-Peace of victory.
Sigurd mean-Guardian of victory.
Marrok means-A knight thought to be a werewolf.

9) What is your favorite genre to write?
Science fiction, fiction, and whatever genre superhero is under (one day I'll have too look up what the actual genre is called). The reason is because these genre's allow for more imagination to be used, and since I like using my imagination I like them.

10) What are three things you share in common with your MC?
Ooooo which MC should I chose?.... I'll go with Ty from Quantum Gears. Well lets see.
  • Ty thinkers, fixes, and builds stuff. Which are all my favorite things to do.
  • Ty wants to pilot a 30 foot tall robot. That's something I've always wanted to build and do.
  • Ty likes to play loud music and dance while working on Gear. (you'll see this soon enough) Which is something I do whenever I am working or just fixing things in general.
And that is the three things me and my MC share in common.

11) What is your favorite movie/book quote right now?
Well that's a hard one to answer, see as of right now I've been quoting a ton of movies randomly. My favorite are as follows

"See we don't need brains"-The Croods
"My Man!"- Justice League
"Some King of the rock"- Mulan

                       11 Random Facts!

  • Apparently I look like a darker Clark Kent and Bruce Banner with the way I've been wearing my cloths and the with the way I've been doing my hair.
  • Rugby has become one of my favorite sports.
  • I randomly dance.
  • Apparently I talk in Spanish in my sleep. Who knew.
  • I had to submit Quantum Gears Chapter 1 for a class.
  • I liked the Justice League movie.
  • I didn't like Thor 3.
  • I'm looking forward to Aquaman and Spider-man into the spider-verse.
  • I want to one day one a "Hall of swords".
  • Some people think I look Hawaiian.
  • I'm not finishing the 11th because I'm a rebel.
What do you think? Fun no? Now My tagged victims will be

  11. What song is your jam right now?
Well that's all I have for today. Oh a little up-date. Quantum Gear is more then half way finished. I should have it finished within this week at out to it's beta readers before the new year. I do apologize for it's relies being to late.

One of the reasons it has taken so long is that I have a new piece of art to resale it with as well. I hope you all understand once you see the piece of art why it has taken so long. I'll be seeing you all again soon. And until Next Time, Stay True to the King!

  1. Yes! It should totally be renamed the Lightsaber Award!

It’s not too cold down here, but that didn’t stop my family from having a nice Christmas.

Ok, your description of Frodo is spot on, hilarious!

    Thanks for the tag!

  2. "Did you say... SEIGFRIED?" (That's a quote...)
I like the name Sigurd - it immedietly brings to mind the book "The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun" by J.R.R Tolkien. I may not be a LotR fan, but I remember really enjoying this book. How it was written was unique, and inspired me to try my hand at writing that way. It's been a while since I read "The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun" though. Need to revisit it to see if it lives up to my happy memories of it. ^.^
And yes, the How to Train Your Dragon (I almost missed 'dragon' and just put 'soundtrack'. How to Train Your Soundtrack) soundtrack is excellent! Both One and Two. I haven't heard the others you mentioned, so I have no opinion on those.
Nice post, and looking forward to the next part of Quantum Gear. :)

    1. HAHAHAHA I love Get Smart!
I've never heard of that book, I did a quick google search of it and it does sound interesting. I may have to pick it up and read it :) thanks for telling me about it.

Haha HTTYS would be the worst, or best, soundtrack ever! Yeah they are really good! I usually listen to both at the same time so I count them as one. You should totally listen to the Man of Steel soundtrack! That one is amazing!
Thanks! I hope you'll enjoy it once it's comes out!

  4. Thanks for tagging me! :D

I actually think Frodo would be pretty boring to meet too xD I mean, he's a great, complex character, but talking with him in person would be pretty...bland, I guess.

I had a lot of fun reading this. Great post!

    1. No problem!

Really? I don't know much about Frodo because I've only seen the first movie. But from what I've seen he seems like a kinda boring guy to talk to.

      Glad you enjoyed it!

    1. Thanks Blue! Well have you ever seen a stegosaurus? You know the spikes at the end of it's tale? That part of the tale (with the spikes) is called "Thagomizer" and I just really like the way it sounds. Just imagine shouting "Got Bring me the Thagomizer!"

YES! a hall of sword!!! And not just some sword but ALL the Swords from legend too!!

Oooooo your from good old Canada? didn't know that, I've never been but Canada looks like a nice cold place.

  8. Hey Marrock! Loved this post..
First off when I hear the name Siegfried I immediately think of James Harriot.. just me??
Random dancing.. is it a made up dance or a actual dance XD
I have to agree about the whole Frodo thing.. It's cold in Ky.. it was 4 or something a couple of days ago.. Btw nice and cold arent supposed to be in the same sentance.. Lol.. mind if I take part in this tagging thing??

    1. Thanks! I've actually never heard of James Harriot, is he someone cool?
Well when it comes to Random dancing... it's a little bit of both :D
Oh really? How cool! (Yes that pun was intended) Yes they are! If cold and nice aren't in the same sentence it creates a paradox and a world out in the multi-verse is bloom to smithereens!
OF CORUSE YOU CAN! After all you are one of the readers (which I tagged everyone who read this post so I expect about 88 other people to take part in this :P)

    2. James Harriot was a England vet and he has the most craziest funniest story’s.. It was a old ancient TV show but his partner in crime was Siegfried, who had the most hilarious sense of humor and got into trouble XD it was ages ago.. (not that I am ages old;)
Puns like that are not funny!! Jkjk pun accepted, going in a completely different direction do you think you could survive a pun war???
      Lol your scientific explanation XD
      Sweet! *fist pumps*
Btw I forgot to ask but are you still jamming to Christmas music?

And, for the record...cause this happens about as often as a UFO sighting...we actually had a white Chrustmas up here in Western Washington. I know, I know, shocking, right?
Anyways, this was a fun post. :) Thanks for sharing your sense of humor with us all. ;)
