Shadows of the Hersweald Cover Reveal!

Gather around my fellow clans-men and let me tell you of the news I hold... I have... ANOTHER COVER REVEAL!!! *Bellowing laughter*

Wait dude?! you just like just did a cover reveal last week and Yesterday you did a blog tour? What's up with you?

Yes I know... I kind of got carried away and signed up for them all :P but hey it's not like it's all on the same day. Anyways no more INTERUPTIONS! Let me finish...

Shadows of the Hersweald is the third novella in my Legends of Light series. It and retells the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel and I’m very excited to be sharing the cover with you all today.

A battered soldier from a defeated army, Haydn knows the only end to the arrival of the Prince’s governor is chains, followed by punishment and possible execution. Except he hasn’t counted on the Prince himself. Or the pardon which his recent foe has declared to acquit all those who fought against him.

A pardon Haydn detests.

A pardon that refuses to punish the rebels now threatening his own village. And his sister.

Guilt-ridden from his own actions during the war, Haydn knows there are others who have no conscience at all. Others who are using the freedom of the pardon to forward their own desperate schemes.

With enemies closing in on all sides, a pardon that refuses punishment for the rebellion, and nightmares of murder and fire hovering in the back of Haydn’s every thought, can he save the only ones left he cares about before it is too late?

And...I suppose I should actually show you the cover now. So, without more ado, here it is!

This fantasic cover was made by Hope's good friend who can be found by clicking here. (CLICK IT!)

Oh, and I have something else I've been looking forward to sharing. The book trailer for Shadows of the Hersweald!

Left To Die Blog Tour!

Hello everyone I hope your week is going well. Today I'm taking part in the Left To Die Blog Tour. This is my very first blog tour so bear with me, I'm still learning.
But before anything is done though, I have the pleasure of introducing you to the author

Ivy Rose is an 18 year old history lover and literary enthusiast. Aside from writing, she enjoys being outdoors, eating chocolate, traveling, reading, and doing Taekwondo (Not Karate). She resides with her family of 9 on the banks of the Long Lake in eastern Washington.
She can be found at various places on the internet:

But what is "Left to Die" about?

I'm glad you asked

About the Book:
Lindy Greene’s life is perfect. Too perfect. But living as a missionary nurse, serving in a small hospital in China, soon brings the disaster she fearfully anticipates. All of her well-thought-out plans for the future disintegrate after pulling a fatally ill, disfigured, abandoned child from a pile of trash. She doesn’t even like babies.
Nathan Thomas can’t find balance. College suited him just fine until his cash ran out, forcing him to the Chinese mission field with his parents. The chaotic atmosphere in China does little to relax his agitated mind, and the pretty blonde nurse at the hospital does nothing to help him focus.
The Chinese mission field isn’t for the faint of heart. Nathan wonders how he can survive his remaining time there, while Lindy struggles to help everyone she can. With different ideals pulling them in separate directions, there is one thing drawing them together: a tiny, sickly, crippled orphan who relies on them to stay alive.

Recently I had the chance to interrogate the author (insert evil laugher)

WAAAHAT???

Naa I'm just pulling your leg. But I did have a chance to have an interview. And this is what transpired within that interview...

1) What prompted you to write this story?
The inspiration from Left to Die came from my sister, whom we adopted from China almost 11 years ago. She had a tough start in life and almost didn’t live to see her first birthday, but thanks to some wonderful people in China, she was able to have the necessary lifesaving heart surgery and is now a bouncing, bubbly 11 year old. :) She was the start of opening my eyes to the orphan crisis facing the world today. My hopes with Left to Die is that awareness will be raised, and possibly, more families will be willing to consider adoption.
2) What drives your writing?
There are a lot of things that drive my writing, but mainly, the stories that keep coming into my head. If I don’t write them down I drive myself crazy. ;)
3) Are you're characters more of a Batman type (dark and lonely) or Superman type (sees the good in every situation)
I think most of my characters are the Superman type. Probably because that’s how I am—I am teased that I have a “Pollyanna Complex” and have the annoying ability to find something good with every situation. ;)  I feel that a lot of that leaks into my characters.

Well wasn't that fun? I'd like to thank Ivy for stopping by and answering some questions (even the geeky Batman one 😁)

First Cover Reveal!!

Hello everyone! Marrok here, how's everyone's week been?

What happened to you? Chuck was like "He's not here today" what's that all about?

Oh well see I saw something cool looking at the top of this hill and thought it would be cool to see it. Turns out it was a legion of Angry Badgers and they jumped me. I did my best but ended up losing to the sheer number of them. They then threw me off the hill and once I finally stopped rolling I found something to show you. It's the "Martin Hospitality Cover Reveal!!"

But first I have the great pleasure of introducing you to the author

Abigayle has been inspired to write since she could spell her own name. Her passion wasn't completing the stories (she did that twice and decided it wasn't for her), it was jotting down the ideas.

But in 2015, a story grabbed her-one she had to finish. Inspired by crazy dream in a genre she no longer reads, Abigayle set off on a journey to write her first novel and she hasn't looked back since.

Writing is her ministry, freelance editing her job, and reading her pastime-all of which proves that God really does know what He's doing when He inspires a 6-year-old with a pencil and her left hand.

Now to reveal the cover of

                       Martin Hospitality

 and the synopsis is
Gemma Ebworthy is eighteen, pregnant, and alone. Now that she's been evicted, she spends the night in a barn, never dreaming that tomorrow could bring kindness of a life-changing magnitude.
The Martins aren't a typical family-even for rural Kansas. With more kids than can be counted on one hand and a full-time farm, Gemma must make a lot of adjustments to fit in. But despite their many differences, Gemma finds herself drawn to this family and their radical Christian faith.
When Gemma's past collides with her yet again, she must begin revealing her colorful history. With every detail Gemma concedes, she fears she will lose the Martins' trust and the stable environment she desires for herself and her unborn child. Just how far can the Martins' love and God's forgiveness go?

Doesn't that cover look nice? Like a nice peaceful farm out in the middle of nowhere, where you can just lie down and watch the clouds go by. I just love how peaceful it looks! And I think it complements the synopsis awesomely!

More about Abigayle can be found at The Left-Handed Typist
Well that's all I have for you today. Until Next Time, Stay True to the King!

Please Stand By...

Hello everyone, my name is Chuck. I usually just redirect traffic to where ever Marrok tells me too. Unfortunately Marrok saw something shiny at the top of a hill and though it wise to find that object. Needless to say it wasn't a good idea. As it would happen that pretty shiny, as he put it, wasn't very simpatico with living things . He unfortunately will not be posting today. Worry not fellow Clans-men he will be back soon, like Saturday soon, with something new that he found. Well that is all. Marrok found this gif rather funny and wanted me to show you so this post wouldn't end on a sad note.
That is all. Have a nice day...

A Day In Life Explained By Gifs Tag

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a great day/week/month. Today I though I would do something a little different. So Nate Philbrick over at YouWriteFiction did this post titled "A Writers Life According to Star Wars". And he used gifs to explain the writers life (it was rather funny and if you haven't checked it out you should). So while I was reading his post I thought it would be fun to make a tag and call it  "ADayInLifeExplainedByGifs".

Hey Marrok didn't you already get tagged by Chole do to the snippets tag?

Oh yes I did. But since I'm not ready for that I decided to do this. So here are the rules:
  • Explain what an average day of life looks like for you (no need to divulge a ton of personal info, just the gist is fine)
  • Animated or live action gifs are okay (nothing inappropriate)
  • Tag at lest one other person
  • Exaggeration is fine
The main point of this tag is just random fun. See I have a ton and a half of gifs I would love to use but most don't fit into my post.

So this is basically a post dedicated to all your random gifs?

Basically. So without any more dilly dally lets get into it

                                                                        Wake up
Go for a run.. trying not to get hit by crazy drives
                                                         A little work-out after
                                                        Always eating healthy
                                                                    Studying
Typing up what I just studied

                                                                     Break time!
                                            Realizing an assignment is due
                                                             Back to work...
                                                               More studying...
                                                  Learning something NEW
Being forced to take another break
Remembering an important assignment is due (its like getting hit by a... whatever that is)
                                                    Finally finished for the day
Remembering that nice book you didn't get to read
Bing way to tired to care anymore...

So I tag These Fine Bloggers.

Well that's all I have for you today. I pray you all have a wonderful day. Till Next Time, Stay True To The King!

All pictures and Gif's used are not mine, all credit goes to the creators

Oh wait, I found this random gif and have no idea under what circumstances I would use it. But I still want to show you
Oh yeah and there are two things I want to mention
1) There is a Blog Tour sign up going on, Click Here for more info.
2) If you haven't check out this beta-reader call, Click Here It sounds like a cool story!

Superman Earth One: Vol 2

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well (totally forgot today was Thursday!). First off I just want to say that yes I know the sidebar thing looks messy right now. But it's a WIP right now so just consider it "Under Construction" until it looks better

Okay. Yeah, I can't lie it does look pretty messy.

Oh but before I get into anything a blogger friend of mine is now calling for Beta-Readers (how cool right?) why don't you head on over and check it out. Maybe it's something you would like to read. Just click HERE

Okay now Guess what?!

What Marrok? You decided to no something amazing like jump off the tallest building in the world with a wing suit?

Tempting but no...It’s time for another comic review!

Dude your first post of 2017 is going to be a comic review? really? How do you expect to grow as a blog if your first post of the NEW YEAR is a comic review? people are going to think you're a nerd and leave.

Yes, I am fully aware of that fact. But I have a schedule to keep. You can expect something Funny and different next Thor's day Thursday (hopefully, I make no promises). So today we will be taking a look at Superman Earth One Vol 2...

*some random person raised their hand*

Yes, the new guy I can see your hand is raised. What do you need?

oh well I just wanted to know where I can find your review of Vol 1

Oh well, it can be found by clicking this magical blue text HERE. Okay now that he is gone let’s get into our review

I give Superman Earth One Vol 2

Why only one claw? I thought you liked Vol 1?

I did, I really enjoyed Superman EO Vol 1 but Vol 2 isn’t nearly as nice as Vol 1.

Really why?

Well I feel like they messed it up, the story is okay but they put stuff in it that really didn’t need to be there. So here is what Superman Earth One Vol 2 is about.

Clark is starting to fit in after defeating the Alien who tried to destroy the earth. The public still is unsure whether or not superman should be trusted or treated as a threat. While that is happing a new villain rears his ugly head, a man who seems to feeds off the energy of others like a Parasite. When Superman confronts the villain he soon finds out that even the Man of Steel is not immune to the energy sucking Parasite. Can Superman find a way to stop him? Or will the Parasite destroy the world with the power of Superman?

Even though the story idea isn’t a bad one, and I do like to see Superman take on the Parasite, I felt disappointed in the writing of Vol 2.

Why? What happened?

Oh, let me tell you...

Swearing: Through his Graphic Novel, there are only 17 swear words use. 1 Da**, 2 Pis***, 5 blasphemes, and 9 Cra*.

Violence: we see a decapitated arm. People get their energy sucked out of them by the Parasite which leaves them looking like skeletons with skin. We see Ray (the Parasite before he changed into the Parasite) bit a kids ear who was bullying his little sister, we see blood as he bites the ear and blood on his lips after he bit the ear. We also Ray after he beat some guy to death with a bat. Blood is on the floor, the bat and Rays face.

Negative stuff: A girl in Clark’s apartment, whose name is Lisa, seems to like making sexual references and she says “s**y” like twice. We are told that a man working for Ray searched for porn, and kept videos of people getting killed. Clark's father Pa Kent has a talk with him about intimacy. An Air Force Piolet makes a Rude/Nasty comment. A man is seen by superman doing drugs and later dies from an overdose.

Avert scenes: Lisa comes out in her underwear as she tries to seduce Clark. She also changed his clothing after Clark passed out and makes a comment about him going “commando”. We later find out that Lisa is a prostitute. In the Postscript (which is like the last two pages of the Graphic Novel) it shows that Mr. and Mrs. Luther are in their birthday suits (we don’t see anything that is private but they show a lot of skin)(The Postscript could be totally skipped without affecting the story).

Needless to say, there are somethings I differently didn’t like about it, which is sad because it was turning out to be a nice story. There are nice elements to the story.  Like Superman, even when he knows that Parasite could take away his power he still fights to save his friends. I like the story to a degree but I can’t really get past the things I didn’t like about it. Hopefully, Vol 3 will be better.
